I stumbled upon couchsurfing when I was reading my Lonely Planet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS had been a blessing for me when I traveled around Europe and trying to experience the local culture. Not only it saved me some money and allowed me to be a bit cheapskate by not having to pay for accommodation, it also made me a richer person by introducing me with wonderful hosts and amazing local cultures.
