About Me

A brief summary of what I love in this world:

Music – the most important part of my life. The world would be so much poorer without music. My big love is J. S. Bach, in my opinion the greatest genius in musical history (sometimes I don’t believe he was really a human), but I listen to many kinds of music.

Mathematical way of thinking – although it might sound boring, if you understand how mathematical procedures work, it can give you so much in your life – in writing, in argumentation, how you approach problems and many others.

Hiking, walking – the best mean of transport. Nothing is more relaxing and nothing can clear your mind as walking the whole day or perhaps several days in a row.

Cooking – although I can’t cook so well, to prepare a dinner after working the whole day is often a great and relaxing way how to spend an evening.

Drinking beer in a pub (possibly until late hours) – one of great parts of Czech culture. I am always up for a party.

Coffee – it’s well known that mornings were invented for drinking coffee and contemplation.

Soccer – both playing and watching. What can give you more joy than scoring a beautiful goal or sending a perfect pass…

Films – or generally stories. There is a lot of wisdom in good stories and one can learn a lot from experiences of others. I am a fan of Danish movies.

Discussions – to disagree with a thoughtful person that is willing to discuss can be very enriching. No matter what their opinion is. I believe there are no boundaries.

Ancient history – Rome and Greece. I am amazed how these two old civilizations were much more open-minded and more mentally developed than hundreds of generations after them. There is (and will be) still so much to learn from them.

Playing the guitar – I play the classical guitar and it’s probably the only activity which I can concentrate 100 % on. When I play, I don’t know about the world. To start playing this instrument is one of the best decisions I have made.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I like meeting people with different backgrounds and culture. Moreover, it pleases me if I can host someone and make his/her trip better. If I travel abroad, meeting local people is a necessary part of exploring the country for me.
