ABOUT ME

Hello! I am an active lady on a 5-year global trip who is comfortable with all types of individuals and enjoy sharing thoughts and cultures while striving to find things in common no matter what our backgrounds. Being outdoors is important to me, as is the sharing of food & drink with new friends. I am a morning person, no doubt, but can be talked into staying up late when the story-telling is good. I am on a personal sabbatical after working in patient healthcare and have travel goals of:
1). Connecting with as many types of people as possible
2). Learning about the variety of cultures on our planet
3). Exploring as many different places as time & money would allow
4). Sharing all of the above with my fellow voyagers and those not fortunate enough to travel as much as they wish.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an adventure, not an ordeal.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a new surfer and will plan on following your lead instead of my itinerary while visiting in your country. I have a lot of patience with those trying to learn English. I like to help others, so let me know how I can do for you, whether you are my guest or my host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie, but received an immediate response when stuck in Caligari, Italy for a night. Thanks guys! Great time meeting the hosts and other surfers, so I am looking forward to repeating the experience.

Intereses

Traveling and meeting people from all over the world to exchange ideas and share cultures. My passions, in no particular order, are:
Healthcare, scuba, hiking, sailing, reading (mainly biographies, history and classic literature), mt biking, tai chi, yoga, tennis, music (jazz first, classic rock second, everything else is tied for third), aviation, open water swimming, baseball (Go Giants!), American football (Go 49er's!) and, more recently, rugby ...

Played ball in Yankee Stadium.
Flown my plane over the Golden Gate Bridge.
Hiked the Swiss Alps with a PM/ICD.
Almost sailed across the Altantic ... we hit a whale and had to abandoned ship!
