I spent my early 40s globetrotting, until a dog followed me home from Greece in 2018. Since then my travels have mostly been domestic and van-based, with occasional globetrots here and there.

I'm sadly unable to host (the van's a little snug), but I'm always down to hang out with folks as Spiro and I traipse around the map. If we're in the van, then we likely won't need a couch to crash — a driveway or bit of dirt to park on is more than enough. If I'm traveling outside of the States, then a couch is welcome, but I'm honestly just happy to meet folks eager to show off their home towns.

I'm pretty agreeable and cool with most situations. I enjoy getting to know folks and spending hours talking about anything and everything, but I can take care of myself if my host is busy.

I'm good in a kitchen and love cooking for people. And while I'm not vegetarian myself, I'm more than happy to cook/eat veg. I am also friendly to other types of greenery. cough.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

My best travel memories aren't about the places but the people I've met along the way, whether our paths crossed for weeks or just hours. I've made some amazing friends and indelible memories thanks to Couchsurfing and can think of no better way I'd want to experience a new place.

I also have a voracious appetite for learning about the world outside my own horizons. I especially love meeting and getting to know people from places I've never been; learning about other peoples' home countries often inspires me to visit them myself.

Intereses

Photography is both a passion and a livelihood, so that takes up most of my time these days. I enjoy writing but don't get to do as much of it as I used to. I love cooking — there is no happier room in a house than a busy kitchen.

Beyond those three I'm also into motorcycling, biking, hiking, and generally getting outdoors.

I know a fair bit about photography and am always happy to go shooting with someone and/or share what I know.

I'm a pretty good cook though with a small repertoire of recipes and would love to add a few more to my collection (as well as share the few that I have).

Beyond those two, my knowledge tends to be very hodge-podge. I know a little about a lot of things, and a lot about a little.

I'm always happy to help with housework (I'm amazing at organizing), I love to cook, and I actually kinda like doing dishes. I'm also happy to take pictures of my hosts if they need them for Linkedin, CVs, Facebook, wherever.
