About Me
Hey there! I'm Vahid, a 36-year-old travel lover from Iran with a big heart for meeting new people and exploring different cultures.
Traveling the world has always been my dream, and I'm slowly turning it into reality—one adventure at a time. I love hosting guests from all over the globe and hearing their stories. It's amazing how much we can learn from each other!
In my free time, you'll find me reading books, watching movies, going on long walks, or playing basketball. I'm always up for good conversations, new experiences, and sharing laughs with people from different walks of life.
Let’s connect, share stories, and make some awesome memories together!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here because I love meeting people from all around the world, hearing their stories, and getting a real taste of different cultures—way beyond what any travel guide can offer. There's something magical about connecting with someone you’ve never met and realizing how much we all have in common.
Interests
I’m into the kind of stuff that makes you think, laugh, and dream at the same time.
Favorite Books: The Alchemist (because sometimes the treasure is really inside you… deep, huh?) and The Rubaiyat of Khayyam – I love the way he blends wine, wisdom, and existential questions into poetry.
Favorite Movies: The Shawshank Redemption – because hope is a beautiful thing.
And The Hangover – because chaos with good friends is even better!
When I’m not traveling or hosting, I enjoy long walks, reading, watching movies, and playing basketball (or at least pretending I’m good at it).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve hitchhiked across the entire countries of Iran, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, and India—just me, my backpack, and the kindness of strangers.
I’ve cycled over 3,000 kilometers, discovering places most people only see in postcards. I’ve also taken countless motorcycle trips across different cities, chasing sunrises, good stories, and better food.
Traveling isn't just a hobby for me—it’s a way of life. I’ve even written a book about my journeys, sharing the beauty of the road and the amazing people I’ve met.
I've also given talks and seminars all over Iran, helping others learn how to travel cheap, smart, and with heart—especially through hitchhiking and low-budget adventures.
If you're into road stories, crazy travel moments, and deep chats about life and culture, we’ll probably get along just fine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you stay with me, you're not just getting a place to sleep – you're getting a local friend!
I can share my room, show you around the city, and take you to some hidden gems most tourists don’t know about. We can walk, talk, eat delicious food, and dive into deep conversations about Iranian culture, history, and the magic of travel.
I've traveled a lot myself, so I know how much a good host or travel buddy can make a difference. I’d love to help you experience the real Iran – not just the landmarks, but the stories behind them.
Let’s explore, exchange ideas, and make some great memories together!
