About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see historical places around the world with fun people! (Yes I'm a drinking history major)

ABOUT ME

College grad with fears about settling down in a dead end full time job. I've had a wide array of jobs in the last 5 years, including being a bus driver (which was a ton of fun). I guess I'm a person with ever changing big dreams & goals with the maturity of a 25 year old, the mentality of a 17 year old, and the enthusiasm of an 8 year old.

PHILOSOPHY

Just do it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sadly, I'm living at home for the moment in a tiny apartment with the family so I'm unable to host. Hope to return the favor once I move out. Currently planning to be an au pair in Spain in the summer, as well as backpacking/couchsurfing through Europe in August and September! I'm very excited to meet new people :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lived slightly vicariously through Ryan Sclar's couch surfing hosting duties in San Diego. More recently celebrated all night with couchsurfers in the streets of Madrid after Spain won the Euro Cup 2012. Stayed at a 4 star hotel with 8 fellow couchsurfers at the San Fermin festival in Pamplona. It's all been glorious :)

Interests

My interests are always changing, I like to try new things. Currently learning how to sketch (not very successfully). And am now training for a 10k (one must always be in good shape for traveling, non?)

But I love movies, great tv shows like Breaking Bad, exploring new restaurants, and most importantly of all, trying new beers (particularly stouts & porters).

Music, Movies, and Books

Muse, Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand are my favorite bands (though I listen to more)

I love witty movies. Midnight in Paris, About A Boy, Shaun of the Dead, among others...

Books are great, I love One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest; Isabel Allende is also a favorite. Am now reading the Song of Ice & Fire series by George R.R. Martin which is MINDBLOWINGLY AMAZING.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a 12 hour trip to see Muse perform in Lisbon, Portugal. Happiest night of my life so far.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
