I am an Italian PhD student at the University of Manchester. My research is about trauma and difficult life events in people who suffer from psychosis/schizophrenia. Since this is my last year, I decided to make the most of it and use the flexibility given by the PhD to travel around.

I don't smoke and I am not much of a party person: I'd rather have dinner (I am vegetarian btw), drink some wine and watch Netflix having my cat around. When I travel it's the same, I'd rather stay out and enjoy the city during the day, or maybe do a day trip and come back reasonably early, than stay out partying or clubbing.

Big volleyball fan, I get any chance I have to play a bit.

I truly enjoy making new friends, but I've got a partner so even when I am travelling by myself I am totally not up for dating!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a friend who kept telling me about this for a year, so I decided I'd give it a try.

I guess it is indeed a great way to meet new people and not just visit a place. Actually, when I visit a new place I much more cherish the "experiences" than simply the place I visited, and I think couch surfing might add to that :)
