About Me

Adventurous girl who likes people, exchanging with them and having fun!
Since I was a child, I used to move quite often with my family: from my homecountry (Moldova), to Italy, to Belgium and to France!
Now I can't stop this eager to discover new places and cultures anymore.
I’m currently traveling in the South of France, with my boyfriend who’s originally from Portugal.
We can't wait to meet you up guys, either this summer at your place... either after September, at ours in Paris! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered Couchsurfing thanks to 2 american girls, that I met in Norway during a Wwoofing experience (they used many different ways of traveling).
When they explained me the concept, I immediately thought it was perfect for "short stays" in a country/city. Because it allows the traveler to meet with local people, and to be impregnated as much as possible with their culture. Much more than in hotels, Airbnbs or even hostels.
That's actually the main reason I've mostly tried to stay in some countries with an "exchanging program", like:
3 months doing Au Pair in Russia (2016);
2 months WWOOFING in Netherlands and Norway (2017);
1 month of "workaway" in Greece (now, 2019).

Interests

In my spare time, I go regularly to see movies, or stay home in front of Netflix for watching series with my flatmate/BFF.
But I swear that I try to read more, especially about philosophy. And I appreciate any talk with debates for different ideas (even if I always want to be right haha)!
What else? When I simply want to have fun with friends, we usually meet in appartments or on the Seine's docks for example, and we play many games (Uno, Time's Up, etc.)
Those are my favourite moments.

Music, Movies, and Books

As many people do, I usually say that I listen all kinds of music. Well that's quite impossible to affirm, when we imagine ALL the music existing in the world! But I still kind of pretend to be an eclectic person because, on my old iPod, I can switch from classical music (Chopin, Ravel or Tchaikovsky)... to rap (Coolio, Eminem or Snoop Dog)... to rock and its several intensities (ACDC, Scorpions or Metallica)... to pop, R'n'B and funk (Michael Jackson, Beyonce or Kool and the Gang)... without forgetting the russian and moldovan variety/folklore of my childhood (Alla Pugacheva or Lyube), but also the greatest old french singers (Edith Piaf, Gainsbourg or Jacques Brel).

Nowadays, I must admit that I have a special attraction for raggaeton music (J.Balvin or Maluma)... and for electronic, or even Techno/Tribal/ D'n'B, etc. (I'm discovering it more and more, because I always seek to extend my musical knowledge)

What about books now?
As I said, I try to read more, since I'm ashamed to confess... but I'm quite lazy for that. Anyway, my favourite books by now are The Little Prince, of Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéri, and The Alchemist, of Paulo Coelho (very easy to read and so powerful/meaningful)!

To finish, I can also say that I like all kinds of movies, but maybe not horror so much. My favourite films are for example, classifying by genres : The Mask (comedy), Pulp Fiction (action), The Curious case of Benjamin Button (drama), Shutter Island (thriller), The Notebook (romantic).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day, I was living in Nice (next to Italian border) and I met a Syrian family in the train. They were running from their country. Because they had almost no means, I had the pleasure to welcome them (Dad, Mom and 2 children), at my home. That was maybe the way I begun my "Couchsurfing experiences" ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

First of all, I can naturally share my knowledge of the different cultures which I experienced in my life (East European country VS France).
Then, thanks to my nursery studies and especially the skills about first aid for emergency situations, I'm able to provide advices and even train you a little bit... in the aim to save maybe somebody's life one day.
But finally, more funny: since I practiced spanish dance (Flamenco) for 6 years, I could show and teach you a few steps, if you're interested in it. Then we could make our bodies move together, listening for Gypsy Kings music.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook an amazing spaghetti sauce (reporting to what my friends say, since I often invite them to have dinner at my place)!
Also I'm very handy and I enjoy to create for example some little things with my hands, using paper... even during a conversation (trying not to be rude).
You might be surprised, so see you soon!
