Once I was sitting in a small fishing boat on the pacific seaside of ecuador and then right next to us a humpback whale jumped out of the sea. Later he raised his fin into the air and then smashed it on the water, he did it over and over again which was probably some kind of pairing call but it seemed like he wanted to greet us.
