Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I believe it is the best way to discover different approaches about living on earth and thus question myself in the process.

What I am looking for above all, is the unexpected. I like doing things that I never imagined could even exist. For example one of the most inedit and most enjoyable experiences I had while in California were "Bike Parties". Hundreds of people take over the road with decorated bicycles, costumes, music from big speakers, and together form a flow of two wheeled machines. We ride along the bay area in bliss, and stop 3 times along the way to party and meet people.

This is the kind of experience I could never have had in France, and this is what I am actively seeking for.

Interests

Now I'm in China so my interests have changed from when I was in France or in the US.

So my new interests are learning chinese, KTV. I am still a beginner in Chinese but I my objective is conversational proficiency by the end of the year.

My good old passions are dancing salsa and occasionally breakdance, reading books that blow my mind, having a good intellectual conversation with somebody.

Music, Movies, and Books

When I study I love listening to film music, likeThomas Newman (American Beauty), or Hans Zimmer (Inception); or to classical music, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovski.

My favorite Chinese song is Ju Hua Tai by Zhou Jie Lun.

My favorite groups are Purity Ring, Odesza, M82.

Favorite book for the moment is 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami.

I don't know how to measure my favorite movies, so I am just going to tell the ones I watched most often this year : Interstellar and Princess Mononoke.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a Dance Marathon at my American Campus. I danced without sitting for 16 hours with 300 other people, then I didn't sleep until another day.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my love of dance, or simply conversations. I can cook some good meals, teach some french. Or simply I can share my enthusiasm for discovering.
