Drive around the world on a motorcycle!
I am for all intents and purposes an optimistic cynic with a streak of wild insanity, given to dreams and flights of fancy that upon common occasion take me places I know not how. Adventure boils still in my blood though now I find myself approaching the whole of the affair with a rather slower, contemplative air - that is to say my quest to be the first Peruvian to drive around the world solo on a motorcycle. Yet there is still that spark of child-like wonder and playfulness that I have made sure to retain as innocence is lost along the way.
It's a funny thing looking back at who you were years ago (or even just one as is the case with the paragraph that was here) and recalling that image of wide-eyed excitement and naivete. I like to think I haven't changed too much (rather debatable) - traveling can do that you you know - but despite it I know my core ideals have not changed, even if there has been a gradual change in their form of expression. I still believe a life fully lived is a life dedicated to sharing experiences. I believe love is God, God is love. And I believe in taking today and making it somehow extraordinary cause another like it will never come our way again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On and off, as proclivity induces, CS has served me well. I shared so many laughs, adventures (new and sometimes extreme), love and fascinating discussions with the widest variety of individuals. I am quite happy to have been introduced to couchsurfing, and now that I am rather intimately acquainted I'd say that as a whole it's a wonderful community.
My interests are as varied as the colors of the sunset or just as well said they are merely variations in expression. My mind is definitely of the creative sort and my interests are by and large the channeling of these energies. Writing is a passion and aspiring profession and as such I am an avid reader. I enjoy acting and therefore theater, singing and so a good song; tango for the mere pleasure of letting my creativity roam free and of course cooking and the consequent delight in eating. I do love the pleasure of a prolonged conversation, the slow sipping of an earl-grey-mocha-latte, the storytelling of my dreams, and the soft pitter-patter of the rain.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most beautiful experience I've ever had was a project in the prisons of Cali, Colombia(for a more in depth look http://valentinodevasco.blogspot.com.ar/2012/06/las-carceles.html). We were teaching the inmates classes on ethics, values and spirituality. I can't really pinpoint a single event, it was the experience as a whole that has truly left it's mark on me. But to be fair life is so full of wonderful experiences when one opens up to it; it's life itself that is truly amazing.
