Overview
About Me
I’m a metropolitan guy from the wonderful city of Kyiv, Ukraine.
When I was 18, I moved to work in another major city — Odesa, a colorful southern spot by the Black Sea. Then, at 19, I moved to Lviv, a beautiful cultural city in the west, not far from Poland and the Carpathian Mountains. I know a lot about my country and its major cities!
Right now, I’m studying International Business Management at the University of Europe in Hamburg. Music, dancing, people, emotions, and meditation are all essential parts of my life. I’ve volunteered at many festivals and events — and now I’m working on my own innovative project.
I also hold several diplomas: a junior specialist in dance, plus a bachelor’s and master’s in social and cultural management. I studied ballet, folk, and modern dance for four years, but my true passion is hip-hop!
I’ve been dancing since I was 10 and now I teach kids and students how to freestyle — how to feel the music, move with it, and take control of your body. It’s not easy, trust me… but I promise I can teach you some cool moves!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since I’m not very active on social media, I don’t use this app often — but maybe one day I’ll meet someone here to share experiences with, create new ones, and just enjoy some great time and company in your city or mine!
Interests
Walking around the city, catching sunrises and sunsets, swimming in the ocean, going for a jog or doing any kind of sport, reading books, hiking in the mountains, visiting local art festivals and museums, taking spontaneous trips or enjoying cozy evenings with friends — life is full of adventures!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One summer, I realized I needed more space than my country could offer. I felt a lack of inspiration and craved new adventures. I was eager to explore the world and learn more about myself — so I decided to take a three-month trip through the EU!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m a positive and independent person with a lot of experience and skills that I’d love to share with you!
We can cook Ukrainian borshch or varenyky (they’re really tasty), talk about the differences between Ukraine and Russia, and speak both languages (I grew up in a bilingual family).
We can dance the Ukrainian folk dance “hopak” or vibe to Jay-Z soundtracks with some hip-hop. I’ll show you festivals, and maybe one day we’ll go to one together — or just throw a little party in your city!
Music, movies, art, books… I’m down to hang out for hours!
