About Me

I am only 21 years old. I am a very peculiar person. I tend to be shy sometimes, but most of time I'm very friendly and open to new adventures. I was born and raised in Mexico, however, when I was 8 years old my family and I decided to move to Texas. I've been living in Laredo ever since. Laredo is the border town city to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and as you can imagine, I've had the best of both worlds. I also speak Spanish and English in a very slang kind of way. I am currently a senior at my local university pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration on Management Information Systems. I am also a student employee, and I tend to keep myself occupied within the university. I juggle between schoolwork, work, extracurricular activities, and my family. One important thing to know about me is that my family means the world to me. I hold really close bonds with my friends and cherish every moment in life. Once you get to meet me, you'll understand how my personality perfectly reflects my culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently discovered couch surfing as I planned for my trip to Malaga. At first, I saw it as cheap/easy alternative compared to hotels. Clearly it is much more than that. I'm on couch surfing because I want to meet travelers from all over the world, and establish a worldwide network of connections among people with different races, not only as a guest but also as a host. This is a way to see the world from a local perspective, and intimately experience the differences in our every day life culture.

Interests

I love books. I love literature, anything from ranging from Tennessee Williams to F. Scott Fitzgerald. But above anything I enjoy singing, and dancing. Not that I'm great at it, but I'm okay and who's judging anyway? I also love going out, meeting new people, and having a few drinks. Especially when a city is vivid at night.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste ranges from Rap to Cumbias, and many more. I love Mana, Eminem, Shakira, Camila, Imagine Dragons, Justin Timberlake, and also I definitely enjoy music from the 70s and 80s. I love movies that are set in the 1920s, it is my favorite era. I'm such a hopeless romantic, and I enjoy watching chick flicks. But I also love action and terror movies!
