About Me

I am an 18 year old girl from Austria, who loves to travel and discover the world just like most of you. I currently finished school and I am taking some time off before starting to study, which is why I'm gonna spend 3 months in Australia, wwoofing, starting in September 2016. Couchsurfing is a new experience for me and I am really looking forward to it. Meeting new people is one of my most favourite things in this world to do, If I can't do this I like exploring interesting places and nature or hanging out with like-minded people for tea or beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is an amazing opportunity to get to know a country, see how the people there live and I think it is much more personal than just living in a hotel.

Interests

I am a proud girlscout and therefore very interested in nature and meeting new people from all over the world. I love learning new languages and meeting new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am very passionate about music, which is not very extraordinairy I guess, but I love to visit concerts and festivals, I prefer the genres Indie, Grunge, Alternative, a little Reggae, there's a lot of stuff I like, some favourite bands are Blur, Gorillaz, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Pixies, Janis Joplin, Bon Iver, Beatles, Wolfmother, Manu Chao, the Strokes, the Smiths, the Kooks, My Chemical Romance, I could go on for hours.
I play the Ukulele, not very good, but always up for a few songs, it's hard to make this instrument sound bad.
I am always up for some nice talks about the latest tv shows, movies (my favourite one is Into the Wild) or books, there's no travel without my kindle, currently discovering Philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15 I spent half a year in Montreal, Canada, where I lived with a host family and went to a local school. I learned to speak french and started to love travelling, so that was quite an amazing experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can totally share some stories about my past travels or the country I come from, so I guess like everybody I'm totally in for some cultural exchanges or chats about life and philosophy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Croatia, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
