My name is Valérian,

I live in Brussels and work at an organic food shop.
I just graduated from a lutherie school (guitar making), and I'm now trying to create my own shop and brand.
Besides wood working, my other passion is traveling. I'm planning to leave Belgium for the North American continent in December.
I'll be traveling around, from D.C., to Alaska, and BC Canada for a fews months.
That would be my first couchsurfing experience, I've always used airbnb or hostels to spend the nights but I'm now looking for something more "authentic". I think it could clearly help me to meet people, learn about the culture and easely find "non-tourist" stuff to do.

I'm a calm person, open-minded, easy to talk with and looking for new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started traveling after I graduated from high school. Since then, almost all of my money goes to travelings. As it is not easy to find a traveling buddy every time I'm going away, I've done some travelings on my own.
I chose couchsurfing because it is great to meet locals who give you another view of the place you're visiting. You're able to spend a few nights with people who don't think of you as a tourist but more like a guest.
I feel like it's totally unique experience when you host someone or when you couch surf, and there is not any financial burden.
