Hi ! I'm Valentin :)
I used CS for the very first time two years ago during a trip by bike with my brother (Lyon to the Mediterranneean see) and I liked it ! then I also hosted people at my flat in Lyon ! It's a nice concept and an enriching experience :)
What about me? I am a dynamic and open-minded guy.
I have travelled a bit in my little life, but always want to visit more and more countries/cities and meet people ! Either by hosting or by couchsurfing :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be part of a community which give us the possibility to discover the world by living for some moments close to the people without thinking about money constraints.
Meet people from all over the world, share ideas, help people when i host and receive good advices from local people when i'm in a trip ! And who knows, making friends !

Interests

I made myself the promise to travel in all europeean countries within the next 10 years, discover the way of living and thinking which goes with it.
Indeed there are beautiful places all over the world, but there are so many things to do and moments to live close to us (i mean around France for me) that I would like to go first through Europe and its various landscapes before exploring the world :)
I can not describe my interests without talking about music and sports!
I am a musician (trumpet player) and love playing with my friends in a band of funk and soul music
I also like practicing collective sports such as rugby, volley ball, cycling, strolls or ... others ^^

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open-minded and like discovering new musics, new styles.
Generally, I like quiet songs, soul music, also some pop like Coldplay and don't like hard rock / metal style.

About movies, I prefer the ones inspired by true stories , the ones which make me go through all the emotions (being speechless, laughing and touched). The movie Intouchables is one of them.

About books, let's continue to be honnest, I don't do it often ^^
I do like reading articles, but less books.
When I read books, it's mainly in a foreign language to improve my level haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For now, I visited more than half of EU countries, lived some time in 3 of them, and that is already amazing! :)
But probably the best experience I made for now is, due to its context, the trip with my brother and our two cycles from my place in Lyon to our parent's house on the french mediterraneean coast.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Firstly, not original but important, a couch :)
Then, make them discover Lyon during weekends or evenings
Cook for them traditionnal dishes
Give them advices on the places to go having fun around Lyon
