ABOUT ME

We are a couple traveling all around the world!

Our names are Ladina and Jose, we are 24 years old. We just love traveling; after we met in Colombia (during Jose's first round-the-world trip), we decided to save money and here we are, on the road again!

We plan on traveling for two years. We started a year ago in Southern Africa, went through Southeast Asia, Nepal and India, and then crossed Oceania via Australia and New Zealand. We're currently in the USA and planning on going towards Central and South America for the upcoming year! We can't get enough adventures on this lovely planet!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We surfed a bit in New Zealand, and are always eager to meet local people from the countries we visit! We share our traveling knowledge as well as cultural experiences across the globe with the people we meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's Ladina's first CS experience, but Jose surfed a lot during his first round-the-world trip, between 2010 and 2011, in Egypt, India, Australia, New Zealand...

兴趣

We like hiking, scuba diving, discovering new places and cultures, tasting unknown foods, learning new stuff... And Ladina loves good coffee and eats a lot of ice cream. Jose tries photography while traveling!

Jose: fantasy & science-fiction, progressive house, guitar (learning classical guitar on an acoustic one at the moment...)

We love Sherlock (BBC) and Breaking Bad was just plain perfection.

Jose: Let's say the Hong Kong bay at night... Oh, Angkor Wat, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Great Pyramids, Petra, the Taj Mahal (holy smokes I got blown up by the Taj Mahal). The white sand on islands in Thailand...

Walking above a sea of clouds on the summit of Mount Kinabalu (Malaysia)! Stopping at a lookout and sitting down under a horizontal rain in front of the Glaciar Grey, in Torres del Paine (Chilean Patagonia) - and two days after, walking alone, up in the mountains of Valle del Francés, and leaving the only footprints in the virgin snow...

Sliding down the glacier of the Villarrica volcano in Pucón, Chile!

Walking in a snow cloud at the Paso Salkantay at 4,600m on the way to Machu Picchu and lighting a fire there to heat up a Quechua local and his son. Playing with a farmer's daughters on an island of Lake Titicaca; trying to catch my breath in the middle of the Salar de Uyuni, far, so far away from everything...

Going on a second round-the-world trip?

For Ladina: diving through a school of hundreds of yellow tropical fish near Koh Tao (Thailand)... Trekking up to the Annapurna Basecamp! Observing penguins and koalas from up close in the wild. Too many things! Walking on volcanoes in Indonesia and New Zealand?
