Overview
About Me
I grew up in Los Gatos, CA as the son of two Indian immigrants. Currently, I'm studying mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science at Berkeley right now and hope be building robots someday. I also enjoy traveling, board games, baking, and meeting new people. I'm vegan at home and vegetarian abroad, and try to stay informed on political and social issues.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling alone because it allows me to go at my own pace and see everything I want to, but I've found that it's also pretty lonely and disorienting. I hope to use Couchsurfing to make new friends abroad, get tips and guidance on making the most of my trips, and stop getting weird looks when I eat alone at restaurants.
At home, I'd love to meet people who've had different life experiences and show people just how awesome the Bay Area is.
Interests
Board games: Like video games but more social! I play everything from Monopoly and Axis and Allies to Catan and Agricola.
Science and Engineering: I spend 60-80 hours a week studying, discussing, and working on it. 'nuff said.
Cars: Not a car buff by any means, but I help build a small Formula car in my spare time
Cooking and Baking: I'm learning to cook and can bake a mean (vegan or non) pie.
History: If Engineering and Physics didn't exist, I'd study history. I try to hit museums in every city I visit and love the chance to learn more.
Super Smash Bros. Melee: Not tournament-capable yet, but I'm a decent-enough beginner.

Movies: I love old comedies: Charlie Chaplin, Peter Sellars, and older Bill Murray. I love old war movies, and good fantasy and sci-fi.
Books: I'm a die-hard Epic Fantasy fan, and I also enjoy classics and science fiction. A few of my favorites have been the Sword of Truth series, Camus' The Stranger, and Hyperion
