About Me

CURRENT MISSION

We must move forward, not backward, upward not forward, and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

PHILOSOPHY

I want to learn and collaborate with people. We need to get dirty and work together more often. Diversity is key for any living system, and we need to reincorporate that into our daily lives more consistently.

I don't follow any religious institutions, believe in god, or take myself too seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I need to go see the world I studied in school. There are few things more pathetic than an arm-chair anthropologist. Eventually, when I have a secure place to live, I will reciprocate and make my home available to surfers.

Interests

Trivia is anything but trivial for me. I enjoy bar/pub trivia nights and the tasty drinks that accompany them. Friends, laughs and some intriguing questions are all I need for a night out.

Hiking and other forms of bipedal motion are great, and help me think. Since my first big trip is to Australia and New Zealand, I'd love to learn how to play rugby and/or Australian rules football.

I'm a nerd so almost anything relating to robots, zombies, video games, dinosaurs or post-apocalyptic survival scenarios will grab my attention.

Music, Movies, and Books

I recently got into Neal Stephenson, perhaps the greatest spec-fic author of the last 20 years. I love dark/dry humor, supernatural thrillers, and documentaries. I love heavy music, but also mellow, thoughtful tunes, and some hard-ass soul. Different contexts mean different kinds of music for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I participated in a national karate tournament in Chicago, Illinois when I was 12.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I love to cook, I am always looking for new recipes or techniques. Also, since I'm terrible at math, anyone who could make it an enjoyable will be my hero forever. I want to study environmental law, specifically how water rights can be secured for common public use internationally.
