ABOUT ME

I grew up in a smaller town in northern BC called Prince George but for the past 7 years have been calling myself a Vancouverite. I love it there and it`s home but it was time for me to travel and see the world.

Martial arts is my passion and that was the initial goal of this trip to travel to Thailand and train muay thai there. My trip has grown in to much more however.

I started in Hong Kong and Macau and then made my way around mainland China for 4 months. I loved it. From there I went to the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. Now almost a year has passed. I was supposed to head home a long time ago but find myself not wanting to leave.

Just trying to seize the day and grow through travelling, meeting new people and new experiences.

I've tried to meet couchsurfers in each country I go to. It's always a great time I find. Nothing like having a local friend when you find yourself clueless in a new country. When I get back home I definitely plan on doing some hosting.

Interests

My passion is martial arts but I enjoy many other things.

I`m a big movie buff. I love being outdoors, hiking, going to the beach or just having a few beers with some friends. Music is big for me.

I love all kinds of music. Mainly rock and roll, but also classical, jazz and techno depending on my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've just finished Travelling around China for 3 months and have enjoyed too many places to list. But when I think of highlights the first thing that pops in to my mind was hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge. I had the perfect weather and every step was a joy. Amazingly beautiful mountains and a great naxi guesthouse that I stayed at.

I really like meeting up with locals from wherever I'm at at the moment and just learning about them, their lives and our differences.
