About Me

I've traveled the world since I was a kid spending 2 years in Yokohama, Japan growing up. My mother went on a contract there and we were lucky enough to get to travel to countries I could barely dream of while living in Sweden. This of course sparked a joy for travel and I've always wanted to explore more. I now live in Canada and about to move from the big town of Vancouver to a small town deep in B.C.

Because I'm in the middle of both moving and traveling, I currently can't accept guests, I'm however super excited for being settled in a couple of months and being able to welcome lots of new friends into my new home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find it a great way to get in touch with more people and have new and unique experiences! I've never been a fan of being a "tourist" when traveling and found that when I stay with friends and locals I always have a better experience. I also love meeting people of all cultures from all over the world as it deeply enhances my world view. Being able to help someone else with the same dreams of traveling as myself is also a huge bonus!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like classical literature from countries such as Russia, Sweden, United States, and England. I enjoy all kinds of movies and books. I tend to read a lot, almost daily.
Some books:

The Count of Monte Cristo
Persuasion
The Gospel According to Biff
The Millennium Trilogy
War and Peace
Invandrarna (The immigrants)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pulled up my roots to move to a completely new country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to teach Swedish cooking (yes we can make meatballs) and share my culture with other people. I'm a "Jill of all trades" brimming with weird knowledge and enjoying a variety of crafts and skills. I went to school for Textile and design so I sew a lot.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to take you out for dinner (you just have to show me your favourite local eats), help out with housework, grab a beer and cook dinner! I'm not just looking for a place to crash, I want to share an experience!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, United Kingdom, United States, Åland Islands

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Japan, Sweden
