About Me

Hey there, I´m Vanessa and I want to get to know the world better by travelling to places step by step, going where my heart leads me to. In doing so I would love to get in contact with people from all over the world to listen to their stories and to share thoughts, respect, humour and nice moments. This is my first time connecting via couchsurfing and I'm looking forward to meet you!

What else?

A little bit corny saying that I often heard and read but it fits in here just too well:

"You can't understand someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes"

I like to explore the surely true content of it and I think travelling is a great opportunity to really get in touch with its meaning.
Beyond that, I love animals, plants/trees, I'm fascinated everytime when human charity takes action, I like story telling stones and landscapes and the stuff between the atoms that sticks everything of it together ;)

PS: I like that the list of my interests below starts with "arts" and ends with "alpakas" by accident (or algorithm?). That's fitting really well I think, haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's the first time for me travelling via Couchsurfing and I really love the idea of enjoying vivid and true contacts instead of anonymous hotel stays.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Countless tiny or big moments of true encountering, not all of them painless, most of them magical, all of them precious.

But let's talk about the details! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn about your culture, your way of life, thinking and feeling and what your heart is leading you through.
I would like to exchange experiences, silence and humour, want to explore the place and nature at your country and just try to have a good time while travelling the roads of this crazy, daunting and wonderful planet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It's a big honour to me being allowed to stay at other people's homes and therefor it's absolutely clear to me that I treat you and your home respectfully and circumspectly and do my best to co-create a warm-hearted human encounter.
People mostly describe me as empathetic, patient and thoughtful, with a sense of humour. I'm really glad about this kind of perception because I always want my counterpart to feel appreciated in her/his individual personality and I like to create an open, welcoming atmosphere. That's why I think couchsurfing is gorgeous, I love to welcome people from all over the world at my home (unfortunately not now, during my journey til January) and now I experience being welcomed myself, that takes me a little bit getting used to but I really enjoy it! :)
