Overview
About Me
I'm a 2nd year Bio-Psych double major undergrad who decided to take a semester off for a bit of a break and a mental health check.
I enjoy visiting places of worship, seeing historical sights, museums, and exploring the outdoors, trying local food and traditions, learning about the history of places I go, and meeting new people from all different cultures and hearing about their experiences. Seeing the places from a locals perspective is also something I particularly enjoy.
I am very much an animal lover and a book worm
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences. Rather than staying in a Hostel, I thought I would try something new. I figured I could save a bit of money for my spring semester while still enjoying my semester off.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a wide variety of music in various languages, so feel free to give me suggestions, and favorites vary from day to day. The same could be said about movies, from romance to action, I just don't particularly like horror. My favorite books are, hands down, the Harry Potter Series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Pre-Vet volunteer trip abroad to Chiang Mai, Thailand for two weeks in May of 2016. I worked with various Veterinarians at the Animal Rescue Kingdom and The Elephant Nature Park. At these two different rescues I worked with dogs and cats, helped learn about the more hands on side of medical animal care and took part in several surgical procedures.
At ENP I not only did I work with the rescued domestic animals, I also worked with rescued Elephants. There I was able to assist Vets with some of the care, food prep, and rest area maintenance of these animals while
learning about some of the things these gentle giants had to endure before their rescue.
Now I educate friends and family about what happens to these beings and encourage them to find animal friendly alternatives to things they would've taken part in without realizing the consequences (like elephant riding).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope I can share my enthusiasm for the countries I'm visiting and share a bit of my own experiences with those who are interested. I strive to be open-minded in the things I try, places I visit , and with people I meet so as to have the fullest experience and make it easier for the people around me to enjoy themselves as well.
