I'm Vanessa from St Louis...from Germany actually. I already feel so American though. ;-)
I came to the states to work as an Au Pair, what means I'm staying with a hostfamily in St Louis, Missouri to take care of their kids. I dearly love my life here and I'm so glad I made the decision to come. I arrived in July 2014 and I'm on here to meet new people all over the United States.
Since I got here I've traveled a lot... been to New York, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Boynton Beach, Orlando, Las Vegas, San Francisco,New Orleans...and I'm craving to see more and learn more.
It's always hard to tell people who you are in a few sentences. I'd describe myself as open-minded, outgoing, sarcastic (what I consider to be funny), energetic and always up for anything as long as it is with the right people.. I guess most of my friends would agree ;) You can decide by yourself, if you can agree (and you will). ;)
Once I know you, it won't be any problem at all to host you at my hostfamilies house in Ladue, Missouri (what is a great neighbourhood to stay). They are always welcoming people and are so generous!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning to go on a lot of trips and as I'm used to living with locals instead of staying in hotels where you barely can make friends and get to know the real faces of a city, I'd love to stay with some of you here and have a fun time.
I surfed in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Can't wait to give back the kindness I experienced.

Interests

Meeting people from all over the world to share experiences and broaden my horizon. I love sight seeing! Not only the actual 'sights', but also the little bars and places, that tell unique stories.
