ABOUT ME

Three things about myself: Warm, crazy and adventurous.

I am a person who warm up easily to people, and I enjoy talking to people to understand more about another's culture and also to share about what I know about my own culture. It is always interesting to learn something new, to try new things and have new experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

There's so much out there in this world to learn to experience and to see. I am hoping to experience as much as I can, read as widely as I can, talk to as many people as I can, to live a life that is as fufilling as I can make it out to be.

Intereses

Things that grab my attention:

I love visiting places with rich history and culture. I love how these places have stories to tell and how history shaped what the city and the people is like today.

I love outdoor activities such as trekking, water activities (kayaking, rafting) and running. I enjoy being close to nature, to appreciate the scenery and the beauty of nature.

Also, I love sports, especially Volleyball. Every Saturday night in Singapore, I'll play volleyball with my team mates back in my school. A good workout is especially satisfying and rewarding.

I was awestruck by the generosity of the people in Nepal when I went over to help the people over the past two years. I was there to assist in the students' and teachers' English programme and to improve the facilities (water, library, etc.) in their school compounds. I had the opportunity to stay in their homes and I was deeply moved by the sincerity and willingness of the people to share despite how little they have.

I was awestruck by the snow-capped mountains in Nepal and Switzerland. This natural wonder is by far my favourite, out of all the love I have for nature with its lush greenery, deep valleys, waterfalls, flowers, etc. When I went trekking in Nepal and Switzerland, I was struck by how beautiful and peaceful the nature is.

I was awestruck by the Jewish memorial I visited in Berlin. Learning about the Holocaust and the history behind the city allows me to appreciate why the world is like today.
