ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty easy going lady. I love reading my books in the evening with a glass of wine. I go into the weeds on foreign policy if I have a fun feisty conversation partner. I brew my own beer when I have time. I write poetry. Crossfit has consumed more of my life than I care to admit. In general, just pretty happy person. Life is going well so far.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still running with "Yes!" As in, yes! I'll try new things, go new places, push my comfort zone. It's a good philosophy and it's working well for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed once, never hosted. I'm hoping to remedy that soon! I just moved to a really neat part of Portland. I'd love to share it with fellow travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a really nice guy in Boulder, CO when interviewing for grad school. It was a fantastic experience. I had good conversation, great coffee, we even cooked a few meals together. It was really pleasant! It's given me warm fuzzies for trying it more often. And hopefully being that kind of host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel to the middle east. It was eye-opening in so many ways. I'm not sure "amazing" is the best word, but definitely the most formative!
