About Me

I'm a mom raising two young kids on her own; working full-time, studying and doing ballet on my spare time, and loving my kids all the time. I'm also a restless traveler, a very tidy person and respectful in general.
I don't smoke.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to travel and a great philosophy too.
And probably also because there is no way I can afford to travel otherwise. I have a place to share and I consider myself a generous person... but I have my two little kids to maintain and support on my own.

Interests

Alternative education, language acquisition and childhood brain insight in general, ballet, literature, origami paper, playing cello. Writing with ink. Peruvian food, food in general, jazz bars, red wine, beer, green tea, dark chocolate.
I have a certain taste for wandering in a city with no particular aim.
I am one of those people who naively believe that literature and kindness can save humanity.

Music, Movies, and Books

My fav books are usually XIXth and XXth century literature ones... Wherever I go, I feel safe if surrounded by a few stacks of the classics. E Hemingway for his clever thoughts, Camus for the sake of his writing, Saint-Exupéry for the poetry of life, Garcia Marquez for making culture so reachable... etc etc... oh and children's books too. Especially Japanese ones.
My favorite movies are usually European movies and Japanese ones too.
Although I do enjoy sharing a good old US action blockbuster from time to time, and taking my kids to kids' movies.
Fav music = anything can sound tasty to me, depending on the mood; from classical music to hip hop... jazz probably holds a special spot in my taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I baked a cake, once (not to be done again, for the sake of everyone).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good wine, or green tea, or coffee.
I enjoy cooking Asian food and Peruvian food. I enjoy food; but who doesn't?
Nice talks about life in general; in the end, I like to listen to people.

I can definitely host people but I always have to consider my kids' priorities and needs first( they are young; 2 and 5 years old).
