I'm unapologetically Latina y guerrera. I believe in being compassionate and kind. I believe in questioning everything, most importantly, yourself, and learning from where you've been.
I'm studying Urban Planning at MIT because I want to think about, understand, and build solutions for the challenges we face the intersections of climate change, resilient cities, and environmental justice.
I spent some years doing community organizing related to urban agriculture movements, then three years as a union organizer where I learned that my grit and passion can overcome any fears or challenges, and I plan to stay an organizer and build power in communities everywhere I go.
I've been with my amazing partner, Damion, for 3.5 years. We met in Sacramento and we will now be living in Boston together with our wonderful dog, Risa Bear.
