Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Varad — I genuinely love meeting new people and watching how strangers slowly turn into a friends you always remember. If you’re someone who values conversation, stories, slow mornings, night-time chai, books, art, or simply existing around kind people, we will get along very well.
If you’re travelling through Pune and want a home that feels gently held, I’d be happy to host you.
I’m also the co-founder of The Third Place Project (TTPP) in Pune. The Third Place Project is our experiment — part reading room, part living room, part community. Some nights it’s a book club, other nights it’s a movie theatre, and often it’s just people talking about life over something warm to drink.
Think of this place as a warm sofa in the middle of the city — come as you are.
If that sounds like you, welcome to our little third place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here because we believe homes shouldn’t have walls, they should have doors — ones that open easily for kindhearted people.
Hosting travellers adds warmth, stories, and serendipity to our third place. Every person who visits, leaves a little bit of themselves behind, and that’s how our community grows and yet stays connected.
I joined Couchsurfing not just to offer a place for travelers to stop by but go get inspired by the stories they bring with them, their energy, their different perspectives about life that you can't predict or control -- and I love that. Every new person shifts the room a little, adds value to our conversations, creates a new memory, a new inside joke. That's exactly the kind of life I want this space to hold.
I’m not looking for perfect guests or perfect conversations. I’m here for the small exchanges — the meals cooked together, the playlists traded, the unexpected 2 a.m. thoughts, the feeling of briefly living life alongside someone whose path you might never cross again.
CS gives me an opportunity to build The Third Place Project with travelers who might stay only for a night or two but still leave a precious memory behind.
For me, that's the whole point.
Interests
Stargazing — nights on the terrace where conversations fade and the sky takes over, reminding us how small and peaceful everything can feel.
Literature — the kind of books whose lines linger for days, shaping how we think, love, and move through the world.
History — a quiet fascination with how cities carry memories, how stories are layered in stone, language, and the lives lived before us.
Architecture — an eye for spaces that feel intentional and human, where light, warmth, and design come together to make people feel held.
I’m drawn to anything that makes people feel a little more human — books, late-night chai, handwritten notes, good films, shared meals, warm lighting, playlists that match the moment, conversations that wander, city walks, tiny rituals, and the comfort of simply existing around kind people.
