About Me

Hey there! I’m a therapist in the making—currently doing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and living in the U.S. for the past 7 months. I’ve always been fascinated by travel, and now I’m excited to explore more of this country.

I started traveling in my early 20s while pursuing my Bachelor’s—broke but curious—and couchsurfed through Barcelona, Florence, Rome, Palermo, Milan, and Lake Como. I lost access to that old profile, but I’m back on the road once again. Broke again, but this time because I’m passionate about learning and finally found myself in the field of mental health.

Before grad school, I worked as a flight attendant with Qatar Airways and later as a high school teacher in Bangkok. I’ve always loved connecting with people from different walks of life. Now, my next adventure is discovering the U.S.—one city and one couch at a time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because it’s brought some of the most meaningful memories and connections into my life. Every person I met and every place I stayed through this platform shaped who I am today.

I still remember waking up to the calm beauty of Lake Como, late-night conversations with my host in Milan, and being shown around Barcelona, Florence, and Rome by locals who truly loved their cities. In Palermo, I shared the most delicious swordfish and the most fun card games with a warm, welcoming family.

These experiences weren’t just about travel—they were about people, kindness, and feeling at home wherever I was. That’s what I’m hoping to continue now that I’m exploring the U.S.—to connect, share, and create more memories through this incredible community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a total melomaniac—my Spotify is a wild mix of everything from the ’70s to today. I’ve got a soft spot for Coldplay (I’ve seen them live and would 100% do it again), and I’m deeply fascinated by Hozier—his poetic lyrics and presence on stage are something else. I recently saw him live in Milwaukee, and it was truly beautiful. Concerts are one of the few things—aside from travel—that I’m always willing to spend my last dime on. I’ve also been lucky to catch Novo Amor and Bruno Mars in concert while living in Thailand.

When it comes to movies, Interstellar is my all-time favorite. I never get tired of watching it—each time I notice something new, and it always leaves me in awe. Naturally, I’m a huge Hans Zimmer fan too (told you my music taste is all over the place!).

As for books, I grew up reading Dostoevsky—Crime and Punishment will always hold a special place in my heart. But over time, I’ve become drawn to books about personal growth and psychology. My current favorite is Being a Brain-Wise Therapist—the brain fascinates me endlessly. Honestly, sometimes I think the universe has nothing on the complexity of the human mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once couchsurfed across five cities in Italy and Spain while I was a broke student in my early 20s—Barcelona, Florence, Rome, Palermo, Milan, and Lake Como. I had no fancy plans, just a backpack, curiosity, and a deep trust in people. I shared meals, played card games with families, had late-night rooftop talks, and woke up to breathtaking views of Lake Como. That trip changed me forever. It taught me that kindness is everywhere and that you don’t need much to feel rich in experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you some basics of Russian, share insights from the cultures I’ve lived in (Russia, Thailand, Qatar, and the U.S.), and offer a bit of psychoeducation—mental health is my passion! I also love cooking meals from different countries and swapping travel hacks on how to explore more while spending less.

Learn: I’m always eager to learn about people’s lives, cultures, languages, and ways of thinking. Whether it’s how you make your favorite coffee or how you see the world, I’m genuinely curious. I also love learning about the brain, emotions, and what makes us who we are.

Share: I can share good conversation, a warm presence, travel stories, and probably a few laughs. I’m also happy to help out around the house, cook together, or just be a chill and respectful guest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good company, meaningful conversations, and lots of travel stories. I’m always happy to cook a meal from one of the countries I’ve traveled in or help out around the house in any way I can. If you have pets, I’m happy to pet sit — I’ve a cat and a rabbit before, so I know how to look after them well.

I can also offer a listening ear, or even a bit of insight into psychology and mental health if you're curious!
