About Me

ABOUT ME

Well, I've been living in Athens all my life and I love it! Currently I'm living in a suburb but soon, after my graduation I guess, I'll look for a place to rent with my fellows, in the beloved center of Athens. In the meantime, I study maths hard (or whatever) in the University of Athens and I cook (beginner here, so don't have great expectations...). I also try to teach my little monsters some math, aka working as a math tutor. They sometimes get aggressive and bite but other than that I consider teaching to be an amazing job.

PHILOSOPHY

"What if everything is an illusion and nothing exists? In that case, I definitely overpaid for my carpet."
Woody Allen

"Seventy percent of success in life is showing up."

"A day without laughter is a day wasted."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately at present I'm living with my family, so I can only participate as a surfer. Therefore, the way I see it, Couchsurfing is a unique way of traveling, far from being just a typical kind of tourist. It's about discovering the alternative part of the city, meeting locals and other travelers, making new friends and gaining unforgettable experiences. It's about giving and receiving, teaching and learning , living every trip at it's full.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed 2 couches (actually a mattress and a couch) with a friend on February 2014. Both persons who hosted us were very helpful and kind, we immediately felt like home. Last experience was in Budapest, was great as well. Looking forward to the next one!

Interests

I'm interested in learning different languages, given that you can't possibly get on with other people in greek. I also love cooking. And eating, as well. Teaching is my passion, I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. I also play the piano, or at least try to play the piano. Books and movies have always been a big part of my life but I'm taking a break these days, focusing on living this life rather than living a hundred others.
