Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Victoria and I'm a Master's student in Toronto, Canada, studying to be a librarian (my background is in political science and peace, conflict and justice studies). I Iove getting to know new people and sharing stories, and I'd love to chat about what life is like in our corners of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that the world becomes much better when we try to understand others' perspectives, and traveling gives us the opportunity to develop empathy through global connections.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I'm a big David Foster Wallace fan, but I also read a range of other books including classics, fantasy, and science fiction! I am an aspiring librarian, so I'm always happy to chat about books.
Music: Indie folk is my go-to genre, but I also enjoy indie pop and any good throwback song. I am currently listening to a lot of Maggie Rogers and Sasha Sloan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few weeks ago, I represented the United Nations in Canada at a global migration and development conference in Quito, Ecuador (my very first trip to South America!).
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I travel, I love looking for places off the beaten path, and take every opportunity to reflect and grow. I'll also explore cities through their coffee shops, and as an (amateur) photographer, I try to capture small, beautiful, fleeting moments that I encounter. I'd love to share any part of these with my hosts, and I'm also very open to learning about whatever your passions are!
A few more things I could teach you: piano, ukulele, tennis... ballet (if you are so inclined?)
