Ever since I lived in Japan I've been a big fan of Haruki Murakami. Great books! Also really like Margarite Duras, George Orwell and the Swedish poet/director/writer Lukas Moodysson.

I listen to most kinds of music, but have a weakness for Swedish indie pop. Feel free to recommend your favorite band!

One amazing thing I've done was going on the Trans-Mongolian Railway from St. Petersburg to Beijing. Lots of fun, lots of nice scenery and great people.
