Overview
About Me
I'm an open-minded, opinionated, friendly university student from England - currently on my exchange year in Strasbourg, France. Good listener and great conversation maker.
Born in India, lived in South Africa and the UAE, but raised overall in the United Kingdom. I have experienced a fair share of different cultures but the world has so much more to see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new to this but I think it's an amazing concept and I'm keen to get started. It sounds like a great initiative for open-minded individuals to meet others of the same kind, share life experiences, spread positive energy and just have fun - and isn't that what travelling is all about??
Interests
I love meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, deep conversations,. a good drink, debating about all sorts of things from UFOs to the EU, travelling to unbelievable places and soaking in new ways and ideas about life. Passionate about politics and human rights.
Trying new food is my favourite thing - I never order the same thing twice at a restaurant, and I make it a point to order the weirdest-sounding thing on the menu whenever I visit a new place for the first time! I aim to eat my way around the world one day.

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to read a lot but find it hard to find the time nowadays. My favourite of all time is The Kite Runner. Some great authors I love are Jhumpa Lahiri, F. Scott Fitzgerald, JK Rowling, Roald Dahl, Anne Frank, Chetan Bhagat, Judy Blume, Cathy Glass, Harper Lee, Paulo Coelho.
Avid movie watcher, anything from Tarantino and Spielberg to Disney Pixar does it for me. Love the Bond series and can talk about it for hours.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled alone through some cities in Europe with nothing but a backpack. And it was the best decision I ever made!
Climbed the Jungfraujoch in Switzerland.
Give an unworn coat to a homeless man in Strasbourg on a cold evening.
Found a secret rooftop at sunset in the Mahabaleshwar mountains in India.
Nutella-flavoured vodka shots with a bunch of friendly Irishmen in Brussels.
Felt very small at the WW2 trenches and memorial.
