I am Verena, 25, just started my master´s in Communications studies in Berlin at the University of the Arts. when not traveling I simply enjoy living in two of the best cities in the world: Berlin & Hamburg

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled through Java and Bali, Indonesia, with one of my best friends for a month in 2011 and we mostly stayed with couch surfers..
the whole trip was simply incredible!
On our way, we've met so many amazing people who were willing to share not only their homes with us but also their time and knowledge about the places we were at. The trip definitely wouldn't have been the same without them so I am really glad we´ve had the chance to meet them and see and learn so many things we otherwise would have missed..

Interests

I love to go to concerts, just relax at the park or on a rooftop.. go to open air festivals or to one of the many great clubs in Berlin and Hamburg.

Indie pop/ rock, Minimal/Techno
I read quite a lot but there is no particular book or author that is my favorite... (although I loved 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' by Jonathan Safran Foer)
same with movies...(hmm..I really liked Moonrise Kingdom & the Grand Budapest Hotel - everything created by Wes Anderson!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

watching the sunrise after a 3 hour hike through the jungle at Gunung Bromo (an active volcano in Java, Indonesia)
