About Me
Hi there! Looking forward to getting to know you... :)
I'm a part time charity worker and volunteer at a local Hospice. I enjoy seeking out new experiences - via the arts, around London, as well as through travelling and exploring new places.
I also love dancing and singing, walking and talking with good friends, watching films, listen to music obsessively! And enjoy getting involved in organising events and festivals through running workshops, creating the decor or unique experiences for participants.
I'm looking forward to being a part of the couchsurfing community - as a guest and host. Drop me a line if you'd like to know more! xx
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been lucky enough to live, work and travel all over the world. Wherever I've been, the people I've met have always had the biggest impact on my experience. I've been amazed by the generosity of spirit / time / resources of some of the strangers I've met. Some of them have even become friends. I'm keen not to just stay in a faceless hotel and instead prefer to meet local people and hear their recommendations and real life stories. Couchsurfing seems like the perfect way to do that - and better still - be able to offer something back to others seeking the same so that ethos of giving can flourish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting invited up on stage with Basement Jaxx to perform as a gorilla during the song "Where's Your Head At" was a lot of fun!

Teach, Learn, Share
The story of the two wolves... "An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he says to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and would be delighted to prepare you a delicious meal. That could be typically British / Moroccan / Mexican / Asian or typically me depending on what you prefer. I have a unique take on flavour and love bringing together the unexpected or unusual to create something new. If you're a traveller yourself I can offer recommendations and suggestions for places to visit and things to do around the world. Please also feel free to make a request or suggestion for something you'd like me to share eg. a typical souvenir or gift from the Uk!
