ABOUT ME

I am an old hippie that used to do lights for English and traveling bands including Pink Floyd, The Byrds and Captain Beefheart. In 1969 I lived at John & Yoko's estate with my Guru for 6 months and did Gardening and helped work on the house - building the recording studio.

I am an artist: www.newmediart.com.br pioneering a new kind of 3-D called ChromaDepth. I have had an Advertising Agency and worked as a Director of Marketing. I won Best Poster in Texas in 1998 and set new standards in the Printing Industry.

I just relocated with friends in Eugene and the meat cooking is driving me crazy. I am a Vegan - Veggie for 40 years. Just the smell of eggs & bacon cooking is enough to make me black-out!

I am eccentric, love music, film, fashion, people, as long as it/they are cool. Not into fads. Love to cook vegetarian for 40 years...what else...Mac Publishing expert, printing expert, writing my biography...

PHILOSOPHY

I am a Gaudiya Vaishnava in the line of Lord Chaitanya. Basically a Krishna devotee for 43 years. I am private quiet and meditative. I can also be the life of a party if the mood is right. I believe in absolute truthfulness, love, honesty, peace-making. I think of Krishna (My Sweet Lord) always and often.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I teach Macintosh Publishing/Photoshop/InDesign/Dreamweaver and have an iMac G5. I also teach people how to cook vegetarian dishes when I stay with them. I tell original Beatle stories and do I-Ching and Tarot readings and teach people how to read themselves.

I am a spiritual councilor and help people understand their problems and get direction.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did plenty in the '60's. SOmetimes I would wake up on the couch of someone I didn't know at all, sometimes in bed...but that was the 60's...recently lived on couches for 3 months. I know what is like to have a bunch of drunken 20 year olds come in at 1:15 AM and want to party more and I am cool if that is what is happening...personally I like to crash early and rise early and do Yoga and stuff...

Bhagavad Gita, I-Ching, Mahabharat.

Music - Almost all kinds, mostly South Indian and Chants. Love Nikki Costa and Nina Simone. Not into hard-core anything except Rage Against The Machine, Alice In Chains etc. extremely dislike Gangasta Rap and Horror Movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recorded alone with George Harrison of the Beatles in Apple Records for three hours straight playing Tablas, George played tambourine and we overdubbed a three hour mantra-jam session that we previously recorded at his house with Billy Preston on keyboards. (Only one?)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a consultant for: Creative Direction, Art Direction, Photo Direction, Printing Technologies, High Definition Printing, Marketing, Advertising, Animation, Film Technique, Macintosh (anything), Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc. I started the first course in Electronic Publishing at LSU in 1988...I have been teaching on that level for years and am happy to teach/share.
