Music, Movies, and Books

John Butler Trio, Angus & Julia Stone, The Cat Empire, The Butterfly Effect, Husky, Tiki Taane, the Herd, Boy and Bear, Snakadaktal, San Cisco, The Kooks, the Middle East, Temper Trap, Tame Impala, Interpol, The Beautiful Girls, The Hives, Hot Chip, Jose Gonzalez, Mumford and Sons, Josh Pyke, Xavier Rudd, Portishead, The Postal Service, The Presets, Sigur Ros and just Jonsi in general, Soko... much triple j love.

For books, I love fantasy and travel. Anything by Peter Moore, Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Isobelle Carmody, Tamora Pierce and Marian Keyes (okay, chick reads) is awesome. Some amazing biographies out there too: warchild and Betrayed come to mind. Also fan of Shantaram.

Movies - so many! I love Hotel Rwanda, Blood Diamond, Beyond Borders, the Spanish Apartment (L'auberge Espagnol), Art of Flight, Out Cold, Blow, The Beach... basic themes being human rights, travel and snowboarding. I am predictable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat on the edge of the largest single drop waterfall in the world - Kaieteur Falls in Guyana, South America.
Also living and working with landmine victims (children and adults) in Cambodia was life changing. Working in an orphanage in Aceh, Indonesia, was one of the happiest times of my life. And the last two years that I've lived and worked as an aid worker in the Solomon Islands has been fantastic.

Countries I’ve Visited

Barbados, Belgium, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Guyana, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vanuatu, Vatican City State
