About Me

Hello!
I'm Vėja and I'm from Lithuania. I love travelling and meeting new people. I love arts, music, theatre, cinema. A couple of years ago I've started volunteering in various events, festivals, organisations such as AIESEC and local youth centre. Then I've realised that in the future I would love to invest time not only in my personal development, but also in improving society and changing people's mindset. I would love to share my experiences with someone who has similar ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've known Couchsurfing for a while, but only now did I register. Using Couchsurfing I believe I could save money and especially meet new people. I believe in people's good will, so I trust Couchsurfing as a save place for travellers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love different music styles such as indie rock, rock, folk, jazz, classical music, electronic music, techno, reggie, folk... really, almost anything!
Talking about movies, I love going to film festivals and discovering new cultures through movies. I appreciate well-made movies with an interesting and realistic story. One of my favourites - Mr. Nobody, I killed my mother, Charlie Chaplin Modern Times, Goodfellas etc. Also, I love documentaries especially those which raise awareness and shows us unseen footage.
I also love reading, although at the moment I could spend more time for it. I really enjoyed Kobo Abe's books and Jack Kerouac On the road.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to select one amazing thing I've done, because I believe that every thing we do is in a way amazing. For me the most amazing thing I've done was hitchhiking. I was always afraid of asking people for help or a favour, but when I had no other choice I overcame my fear and learnt an important lesson, that we are one and there will always be someone for you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could share with my hosts my ideas and experiences. I could show Lithuanian cuisine specialties and maybe sing a song if they sing with my ;)
