Lighting storms battled in the distance to my left, the horizon to my right was defined by a blazing chain of fiery forest, and the clear sky above was saturated with a billion uncaring stars. And little old me in the midst of it all...

HOOSIER, a term to describe Indianans, comes from the morning after a vicious bar fight in the midwest long ago, when the owner found a severed ear and uttered "Who's Ear is this?" which came out as "HOO'S-EAR is this?"
