Overview
About Me
I'm a 20 year old German girl who lived in Boston for a year as an Au Pair in 2015/2016. I love traveling and I've always been interested in other cultures. I'm very open minded and I'm also very talkative, thoughtful and honest.
I'm really optimistic as well :)
I can speak kinda 5 languages - more or less and I'm planning on improving those and learning even more. I'm fluent in German and English and I can also speak Spanish (ok I forgot most of it unfortunately) and Latin as well as a little bit of Dutch. I'm planning on learning Russian, Swedish or French when the time is right.
In April 2016 I also started learned Norwegian and fell in love with the language and culture!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and visiting a new city or country is always interesting. But when you stay at a hotel or something, you usually only see the typical tourist stuff. With CS that is not the case. You get to know new people with a different story than yours and I'll have these memories forever. It's much more personal and exciting than staying at a plain old hotel.
Interests
Languages (I love Norway btw!), books, space, astronomy, physics (sciene in general), camping, philosophy, astrology, swimming, Bouldering, weight lifting , cooking & baking, cats & dogs, Harry Potter, LOTR, writing etc.
I love going to concerts and I dunno why I haven't started going to some earlier. It's just such a great experience!
I also have quite a sweet tooth - I love brownies, ice cream, chocolate, cake etc. But ok, who doesn't? ;)
I find it incredibly calming to lay on the grass and look up into the sky during a warm summer night. Or just talk about anything and enjoy the time.
I don't play any instruments, but I'm really into music. I once wanted to learn Cello when I was younger and even though I think it's a beautiful instrument, I can't play it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading books. Mostly fantasy stuff like HP, LOTR, The Hobbit and romantic comedy as well as dystopian novels, books about astronomy and whatever I'm interested in.
For movies - I pretty much watch everything except for horror stuff.
For music - i listen to a lot of different things. Pop, rock, classical music, cinematic music, RnB, Metal and so on. Basically the whole spectrum. And I'm always interested in finding new artists and songs!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've left Germany and my family and friends to live in the US for a year. I'm still very proud of myself for doing this. It's been an amazing experience for sure.
Also solo traveled to Philly and Nashville - probably not a big deal for others, but for me it was.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am fluently speaking German & English as well as having a good level in Norwegian. I'd have no problem helping out with teaching anyone some words or practice their language skills :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
My stories about living in Boston for a year and traveling around the US. As well as meeting a lot of foreign people as well as my Norwegian friends that I'm very glad about.
I'm a very openminded person in general and really interested in a lot of different things, so we have a lot to chat about :)
I can also try and cook or bake something since I enjoy it very much :)
