I am a non-smoker Norwegian and 23 years old and have started studying at the VU here in Amsterdam. I study aesthetics/art philosophy as a bachelor last year, and here in Amsterdam I am taking different subjects, such as literature, film and American studies! Very mixed:) I am social, fun and like cooking (but also take away mehe). I'm tidy and clean and I am very used to living with other people as I have been an Airbnb host for a long time myself and met and lived with people all cultures and ages, as well as having lived in a shared flat for several years:) I like going out for drinks, but could easily stay in and binge watch Netflix, Movies or documentaries too. I also like concerts, theater and Dance, and my high School was a dancing school, so I love doing that as well, that is something I wish I had more time (energy) to do more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment I have been searching for a place to live in Amsterdam for a while, and that means that I have been staying in hostels, hotels, peoples couches and rented rooms. I am here because i have been tipped by one of mye friends that used this while traveling in Australia, and I thought it was a really good idea. I am a peoples person, so being in a tricky situation, meeting new and interesting people is a factor that would definitely make the situation worth it! I want something for the period of now and until february 1st, but until I find that I am looking for someone who can help me with a couch:)

Music: The strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse, Chet Baker, HOMESHAKE, Mac DeMarco, The Beatles, Girls, Cashmere Cat, Drake, Beyonce (who doesn't like her), Disclosure, Rejjie Snow, James Blake, Frank Ocean, Norwegian hip hop, jazz, and definitely hip hop and rnb everything from TLC, Destiny's Child, NWA to like Usher, T-pain and Ne-Yo (heheh).

These days I just watched Submarine (again) so I'm blasting the soundtrack while walking and smiling down the streets, hoping I'll find a similar weird person one day! Otherwise i also love Dirty Dancing, Oslo 31. August, Louder Than Bombs, La vie d'Adele(!!).

My favorite book have always been Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, and I think it still is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to Amsterdam completely by myself!! It is superscary and I really want to find a place to stay so I can have a safe-haven, a base, but I know how much I will take With me from this experience and already have learned. Otherwise i completely love Amsterdam, and it suits me well since I love biking! And also you don't have nearly as cold winters here like in Norway, so I think I will breeze through it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think everyone learns quite alot from other People if they are open to it. If they are a part of the social situation, listen and take part of it, you usually grow by the second, and if not, later. When I look back I know that some of the most important things I have learned is to surround yourself with people that gives you something good! Basically good vibes, and positive energy because I believe that it does have an effect on the life quality.

I also want to learn French. I would love to teach someone Norwegian if they are willing! I did have French in school, but only two years and you know as a student of the dance you are at school to 21.00 everyday so its prioritized down even by our teachers..

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would say that I am a good vibed person, with a good conversation in her and a lot of humour! I could make you a really nice lasagna;) I also really like my alone time, that must be said, and I respect other people's alone-time. I am not a person that has to be looked out for in any way! I am independent and like both being social and being quiet:)
