ABOUT ME

Hi there, I'm Vera. Since a couple of months I live in Germany again. Before that I've studied in the Netherlands and lived as an Au pair in Ireland. Here in Germany I work as a social worker. Finally since this year I have space AND a couch so I'm able to host you. I'm very open minded, I love the adventures and have a good sense of humour.

I really would like to get more. One of the great things of travelling is to get to know people, see new cities and landscapes. Who could tell you more about it than the locals?! For me the "real world and live of a city/country" is more important than all this tourist stuff. So, I love to enjoy a pint in the local pubs, watching sports, dance to life music and good conversations. I love to hear secret anecdotes or have some good discussions about what's going on in the world.

Intereses

I love/am interested in films, music, cooking and eating, crafting (crocheting and knitting), laughing, enjoy live, nature (I love to hike and spend time in the outdoors), culture, languages, human rights, good stories, adventures...

Música, películas y libros

Favourite movie would be "Harold and Maud" I think. Favourite music... I can't tell. I love too much, but during travelling Cat Stevens' (nowadays Yusuf Islams) music has to be around... And my favourite book would be... oh I don't know, there are too many. The last good ones I've read were "De vriendschap", "Siddharta", "De koning", "Tuesdays with morrie", "Harry Potter"... Generally I love fantasy and books that make me think.

My friends always say that they appreciate my optimistic view on the world, that I'm spontaneous and that I realise my ideas, plans and dreams. I think that's one of the things I can share and teach. If you learn it depends on you ;)

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

well a lot of fun, I' have quite good cooking skills and I'm really easy going. so I fit in everywhere ;-)
