About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life isn't about how many breathes you take, but about the moments that take your breath away!

ABOUT ME

My personality in a nutshell:
Luvv to party, hang out with friends, act crazy, dance (especially on the roof of the supermarket I use to live above), play my guitar (or try to), travel the world, meet new people, laugh a lot, organize dinners/parties, be active in CS (like my famous 'Sinterklaasparty'= Santa Claus party), can be serious as well, only work to live life to the fullest instead of living to work ;-). Cause people should not take life too serious, cause it's already really really short.

PHILOSOPHY

'The mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love playing tourguide and show CS'ers around in Tilburg and introduce them to my wonderful (Cs and non-CS) friends. I really enjoy meeting people from different cultures and visions on life. To travel and CS is also the perfect way to really get in contact with other cultures and experience the country the way it should be seen (and not only visit the tourist attractions) :-).

I'm pretty active in the local CS community. I go to meetings one or two times a month. Me and my friends have also organized some activities/parties for CS members like a Sinterklaasparty and a big party in my house with Carnaval! And the CS meetings/gatherings here in Tilburg are always unexpectedly crazy and fun!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed a lot. I just came back from a one year trip through south and central america, where we tried to couchsurf as much as possible. We made amazing friends and 99% of the CSers were really amazing. They made our trip more special and we will never forget it!

Over the last year around 5 people surfed my really comfortable matress in the livingroom. I always introduce them to my friends and other CSers as we conquered the nightlive in Tilburg. I really love to cook a special dutch meal like pancakes or boerenkool for them. Luckely nobody died from foodpoisoning yet....so I consider that a big compliment ;-) I also enjoy trying their (hopefully excellent) cooking skills ;-). Right now me and my two friends are travelling in south and central america for one year. We already had around 30 hosts. And most of them were truly great, amazing, sweet, fun and caring. Its the best way to travel, cause they know all the best places tp visit and party and you really get to know a culture.

Interests

Jumping out of a perfectly good plane, having meetings with sharks and finding nemo while diving the Great Barrier Reef, going to festivals and camp there in a tent when it's only minus zero degrees brrrrrr (but happily the alcohol kept us warm), partying with my friends and go to afterparties, swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura New Zealand, rest my fat ass in a hammock on a tropical island while drinkin heaps of cocktails, and of course meeting new people from different cultures in the weirdest places on earth...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 7 month trip with my best friend through Australia , New Zealand and Fiji! Did some beautiful diving in Fiji and in the Great Barrier Reef. It was amazing!

Did a super super amazing white water rafting trip in the Tully river (Australia) with the craziest guide EVER! But a lot of fun of course!

I also went skydiving above the glaciers in Fox Glacier (New Zealand)... the coolest experience ever! I went swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura New Zealand and watched whales over there.

Did a 3 week trip through West-Amerika: Yosemite, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Zion, San Francisco and of course I gambled in Las Vegas!

Walked the 4 day Machu Picchu trail! Which was amazing. Went on a 5 day trip through the jungle of Bolivia where we had a jaguar next to our mosquitonets ...but survived. Did hanggliding above Rio de Janeiro which was super cool! Went to Colombia which is one of my favorite countries right now. The people are soo nice there! We celebrated carnaval in Rio de Janeiro which was great and slightly dangerous.
