stay curious: I've left what was considered normal when I grew up behind and am working hard to keep it that way.

ABOUT ME

Information junkie and I love doing things to get out of my comfort zone. I have been ltravelling a lot (being fortunate to have a job that allowed me to work from anywhere) and it's just amazing how different and beautiful and inspiring our world is. I can't wait to discover new places and meet new people to share some great moments,wisdom and laughs with.

PHILOSOPHY

Learning to love the uncertainty of life.

Mostly I just want to experience as much as I can, challenge myself and be as open and honest as I can be with others and myself. I love what I do which is a combination of artistic and academic research on AI technology and am interested in like minded individuals who also do things a bit different :-)
But open to be challenged also !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Yes !
Bit nervous at first as I had a few 'naked' couch offers (thanks guys ! but I prefer to keep my clothes on most of the time) but now its an amazing experience meeting so many interesting CS people !

My first stay was in Brussels with one of the most amazing guys, who's way of life and generosity made me feel very humble and inspired to do the same. I hope this is one of many many more to come. (you people are awesome ! )

Second stay was in Las Vegas, Jake you saved me !

and last but not last I hope was in Washington, DC with such a nice house of people. I still think of the conversations I've had as they have changed me in many ways.

My own living arrangements make it hard to accommodate others right now but when they do I hope to meet a lot of great people this way too !

Interests

I love working at cultural festivals and have been doing so for years because the passion and good vibes are so addictive :-0

Previously I was working for NGO Open Knowledge International on doing good with data stuff :-)

But now I am doing my own research on privacy and IP protection of data.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling so much has taught me some things including that there is not one 'normal'.
People are amazingly different which is what makes life on this earth so interesting so I no longer have to try and 'fit' in !

How to travel ...a lot.
How to use video and audio software and 3D printing. Love to tinker with digital media and virtual reality hoping to find the time to make my own video game !
How to prepare for AI and make friends with robots ;-)
