My name is Verena and I grew up in a small town in the middle of the Alps, northern part of Italy. That means I'm surrounded by mountains, what I really enjoy, as I am a big fan of outdoor activities like hiking, snowboarding, climbing...
But beside action I also like to hang out with friends, have good chats and many laughters. And of course, sometimes I don't mind if it ends dancing at a party.
I would say that I am an open minded person, (I guess as everyone on Couchsurfing) who loves to meet people and explore cultures from all over the world. I defenitely love food, so I am always open to try new dishes, but at the other side I also enjoy cooking for others.
I think it´s not necessery to say that travelling is a big thing in my live. I love the freedom and it gives me a lot to explore new areas or talk and listen to all the beautiful people I'm meeting at my journeys. As I work seasonally in the gastronomy or agricultur sector, luckily I have the opportunity to travel during off season. By the way, my first name is Verena and not Rathiens, I'm just not able to change it anymore...^^ so it's better to use that name for a request.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I did a lot of couchsurfing when I have been in Canada an the Unites States and I just loved it. It is the best way to explore a new country. I still can´t belive how many beautiful people I have met. It was such an amazing time.
Sadly I rarely had the opportunity to have some couchsurfers at my place, because first I lived with my parents and now in a little town on the mountain, which is not as close to the city as the people want (30min by bus)...

There are many things I like to do as beeing in the nature, having my own big garden, sports, traveling, exploring new places or just enjoy life with friends and maybe some beer or a glass of wine. I also like good chats with nice people and listen to their stories :)

I'm listening to many different types of music, it really depends on the situation and the people I'm with.

Yea... of course I like movies, as everyone does ;) Different once, but especially dramas, comedy, real stories and sometimes psychthriller.

I like to read while I'm traveling or sitting in the bus, othewise I always have other preferences.
