About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am bitten by the travel bug. Currently, this minor infection collides with my job, which has been in Nuremberg, Germany, for the last two years. In my daily job I continue "travelling" in thoughts, data and literature from my desk. However, I also cannot stop discovering places, foods, people and things around the world in practice.

Interests

Apart from travelling I love to learn languages, see movies that receive prices from Sundance festivals for example and I cannot live for very long without sports. I did a half marathon two years ago, other than that I like swimming, fitness and yoga. Something that is also very essential in my daily (and non-daily?!!?) life is tasty and good food. Not only that I like (cook and) bake in my spare time. I have been curious enough to try a lot of things, such as Fufu, curries with various parts of Asia as well as French quiches and tartes and Danish smorrebrod. New and shared experiences welcome:-)

Music, Movies, and Books

The last books that I have read apart from work were European philosophers. Art museums are places that I like a lot as well as film festivals and arthouse movie theatres. I am not the person to ask where to go for a good concert, but I am ready to find out for you or to explore myself...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have crossed the Alps in Germany, Austria and Italy on foot in September 2014. That was an amazing experience with beautiful nature and fabulous views, which I can recommend for anybody interested in outdoor things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

One thing I am always up to share are good meals and to cook with or for you. I also like to share proper surroundings and keeping them in that condition. In terms of Nuremberg, I am happy to provide recommendations, especially on good cafés, museums, arthouse movie theaters, restaurants or outdoor things.

Countries I’ve Visited

Italy, Kenya, Latvia, Myanmar, Rwanda, Sweden, Thailand, Togo

Countries I’ve Lived In
