Together with my husband, we hiked the famous Kom-Emine trail, which is part of the European Long-Distance Path E3. Stretching across the entire Balkan Mountain range in Bulgaria, this challenging route spans over 600 kilometers (373 miles) and offers breathtaking views, diverse landscapes, and a chance to explore remote villages. The trail begins at Kom Peak near the Serbian border and ends at Cape Emine on the Black Sea coast. It’s a true test of endurance, but also an unforgettable journey through some of Bulgaria’s most stunning natural scenery.
