To teach voice and interpretation. I love music and writing songs and teaching. Currently am studying voice in Denmark several times a year.

ABOUT ME

Lived in Germany until I was 20. Then moved to the States. First to New Jersey, then Pennsylvania and now I've been living in Baltimore, Maryland for the past 9 years. I've been playing music all my life and really enjoy many different styles. My interests really vary but I am mainly a singer/songwriter myself. I love going to concerts and traveling. These last 8 years I've travelled a lot to the Netherlands, and recently to Denmark. Of course I also visit my family in Germany on a regular basis.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to find out new things and feel challenged and learn about other things. I think it is good to move about and travel. Try something new, pay attention, learn from others, hear new stories, and open up to life.
I like to look at the bright side of life and see the cup half full whenever possible, unless I or someone else spills it

I am new to couch surfing so I am not sure yet how to answer this. I look forward to hosting folks and meeting others while travelling.

I really haven't had any through this list, but I've met loads of people traveling throughout the years and fellow travelers are usually very open to helping each otehr.

Interests

I love music, singing, playing guitar, learning piano, art, and good books, movies, stories, and anything interesting and enriching. I like to do yoga, go running, be active, take part in meditation retreats, am interested in Buddhism (Thich Nhat Hanh), and all other things good for people, animals, and this world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow that would be a long list. But I love Sandy Danny, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Cockburn, John Martyn, Gillian Welch, Lucinda Williams, ....etc...
I love good movies - foreign movies, slow movies, small movies, intelligent movies. I generally don't watch all the hyped up movies that are block busters.
There is a theme to books as well — intelligent, well written, and worth my time.... some of my favorites: Mark Haddon - The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, Rohinton Mistry — A Fine Balance, Michael Pollan - The Omnivore's Dilemma

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played at the 25th reunion of Woodstock in Bethel by myself. This was the spontaneous gathering not the commercial event that celebrated this anniversary. To me that was a big deal. Not a big deal in the scope of things.
