About Me

Hey there! I’m Vero, 25, freshly graduated with a Master’s in Public Policy and now working in sustainability communications. I’m happiest outdoors. Whether it's hiking up a mountain, biking through a new city, or catching small waves on a surfboard. I'm into deep conversations, spontaneous adventures, cats, new food and coffee (lots of it). I love meeting new people who see the world a little differently 🌞

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In August 2025, I’ll be doing a solo Interrail trip through Prague, Vienna, Budapest, and Ljubljana. I believe the best way to really experience a place is through the people who live there:)
Couchsurfing feels like the perfect mix of connection, culture, and a bit of adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books

My playlists go from German indie to Hawaiian rap to Chopin’s Prelude No. 4 and a bit of jazz for good measure. I’ve missed a lot of the “must-see” movies (oops), but somehow managed to binge way too many TV shows. As for books, I love anything from political non-fiction to totally over-the-top thrillers by Sebastian Fitzek.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two years ago, I lived in a van in New Zealand together with my boyfriend and endured (not sure if amazing or just stupid) five days in a wooden hut on Mount Taranaki during a storm. We survived, so that's a good thing. Would not do it again. Probably.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe the best learning happens outside your comfort zone, and I love being in that space (to a certain extent, of course).
Other than that, I would love to hear your story, learn a new recipe, or pick up a few words in your language, I’m curious about everything and open to trying pretty much anything once.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good energy, bad jokes, big smiles, and wildly unnecessary knowledge about European climate policy. I’m a good listener, can help with dinner (or anywhere else where I could help!), or just bring positive vibes to your home.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United States
